The front is a physical map of Europe with a table of country facts.
The back is a political map with country flags.
The scale is 1:6,100,000. There is no city index.
General comments about the Globetrotter Travel Maps:
These Globetrotter maps measure 28″ x 39″. The fronts are really 28″ x 34″ because the left 5″ is the unfolded heavy cover. They are printed on heavy paper that should hold up well under normal use. I make use of a bound atlas that has an extensive list of cities to help me find specific places on these larger maps.
These are great for me because I read a lot of foreign authors (in translation) and want to know where the action is taking place. I have atlases, but I prefer this size. These are not substitutes for travel guides; so buy them for what they are. I have bought a dozen of these (and there are a few more I want). Their being available under Amazon’s 4 for 3 deal is a bonus.
